DRYWALL FURRING CHANNEL
Drywall furring channel is a versatile “hat shaped” section with many applications.
Most commonly, furring is used to provide a means to connect your finished wall product to the structure behind it. Furring is often used over concrete surfaces as a means of attaching drywall. It is also used in applications such as metal siding where it is attached horizontally to the structure and then acts as a base for screw fastening the siding.
Furring is also the preferred method of constructing a drywall ceiling where it is connected perpendicularly to bridging channels with the drywall subsequently screwed to the furring.
Furring channel is manufactured in both .018 and .033 thicknesses in standard 12 foot lengths.
Custom lengths are also readily available.
